CHARITABLE GIVING

JATON LLC feels it has a company responsibility to give back to its community and to help make this planet a better place by lending a hand to our fellow man. Towards that end, JATON has formed its Charitable Giving Program, where a portion of JATON’s profits will be donated to charitable organizations.

The first charity to receive JATON company sponsorship is the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s (BCRF) mission is to prevent and cure breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research. Since its founding in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder, BCRF has raised more than half a billion dollars for lifesaving research. Through a unique and streamlined grants program, BCRF seeks out the brightest minds in science and medicine and gives them the necessary resources to pursue their best ideas. As a result, researchers are able to make discoveries and design new approaches to address all aspects of breast cancer — and do so in record time.

The Cancer Couch Foundation

The Cancer Couch Foundation is a privately funded, non-profit organization that has helped put nearly 2‑million dollars into metastatic breast cancer (MBC) research since its inception in 2016. 100% of donations and event proceeds are matched and go to fund MBC research at Dana‑Farber Cancer Institute and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

The Cancer Couch was founded in 2016 by Dr. Rebecca Timlin-Scalera, after she herself was diagnosed w/ Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Over 40,000‑people die of MBC each year in the U.S. alone, and Dr. Scalera learned that very little of breast cancer research goes to studying treatment for MBC. Dr. Scalera wished to change this dynamic and formed the Cancer Couch Foundation to fight for all those afflicted w/ Stage 4 MBC, to accelerate treatment, and to someday find a cure.

JATON is humbled and deeply honored to join Dr. Scalera in finding a cure for MBC.
