SHEEP CREEK ROAD SOLAR ENERGY GENERATION FACILITY PROJECT

JATON LLC has commenced preliminary engineering on its initial renewable energy project, the Sheep Creek Road Solar Energy Generation Facility Project (SCR).

The SCR Project is a 3-MW(AC) renewable energy solar farm situated on a 20-acre parcel in the town of El Mirage, in San Bernardino County, California. The solar energy generated by the SCR Facility will serve approximately 1,200-homes.

The technology JATON intends to utilize are single-axis tracker, Crystalline Photo- Voltaic (PV) panels. Included in the scope of work are associated combiners, inverters, transformers, wiring and infrastructure. Graded access maintenance roads will be constructed on-site with two commercial driveways fronting Sheep Creek Road to allow vehicular access. The site will be secured with on-site security cameras and a fence surrounding the property.

The solar energy generated from the SCR Facility will be transmitted into the California Electrical Grid via Southern California Edison (SCE) infrastructure. The SCR Facility’s energy will add to California’s renewable energy supply portfolio and assist in reaching Governor Brown’s goal of 50% renewable energy use in California by 2030.

JATON’s Sheep Creek Road Project received the first 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) ever awarded through SCE’s Community Renewables Program in July 2018, and is scheduled to complete construction and begin delivering solar power in August 2019.

B.  Information about Green-e Energy and California’s ECR Program

JATON LLC is working with Southern California Edison (SCE) to have the Sheep Creek Road Solar Energy Generation Facility included in SCE’s Community Renewables Program.

SCE’s Community Renewables Program is Green-e Energy certified, and meets the environmental and consumer-protection standards set forth by the nonprofit Center for Resource Solutions. Under the California Enhanced Community Renewables (ECR) program, renewable energy project developers take on the responsibility for marketing electricity product(s) directly to customers, who would normally receive this type of information from the utility. Green-e Energy provides third-party verification that the end customer receives accurate and sufficient disclosures.

Green‑e Energy is North America’s leading voluntary certification program for renewable energy. Since 1997, Green-e Energy has certified renewable energy that meets environmental and consumer protection standards that it developed in conjunction with leading environmental, energy and policy organizations. Green-e Energy requires that sellers of certified renewable energy disclose clear and useful information to potential customers, allowing customers to make informed choices.
